THe idea of appropriate technology is that local people understand how techology can be best used to meet the need of their communities.

(A) Therefore,the appropriate technology differs according to what things are most important to focus on first in each local area.

(B) The use of appropriate technology and how it works chagne with each situation, depending on local conditions. Each community has different needs and different local resources.

(C) The one quality that remains the same,however, is that appropriate technology is used to care for communities. Appropriate techonlogy, at its core, is designed to help and care for people.
